Weekday Breakfast Sausage Roll-Ups
Breakfast in our house is typically rushed and crazy. Let’s face it, a house with kiddos is typically rushed and crazy. But, breakfast in our house has been made easier thanks to a little precooked goodness that we call Sausage Roll-Ups. Hope you enjoy!
- Crescent Rolls (buy in tube)
- Breakfast sausage of some kind
- Cream Cheese (whipped is easier to spread)
- Nonstick cooking spray (optional)
**Two tubes of crescent rolls will use one small breakfast sausage roll divided between it**
These are super easy to make and SO yummy Ya’ll!
Brown sausage and drain.
Unroll crescent rolls onto the counter or cutting board. (Since you will be slicing these, consider your counter’s surface first.)
Pinch together the seams of the crescent rolls so they are less likely to break apart.
Spread cream cheese on the crescent roll sheet.
Add cooked sausage on top of the cream cheese.
Roll into a log.
Slice into 1/2 inch slices or larger based on preference.
Put on a cookie sheet. I typically put some kind of nonstick cooking spray on the pan and use aluminum foil.
Bake at 350 degrees until the dough is cooked through.
The best part about these is that they reheat beautifully! When I make these, I typically make 4-6 crescent roll containers worth. I freeze some and leave some in the refrigerator for the week. The kids love them. My 9 year old says they keep him full until lunch. This is no small feat. I swear he has two hollow legs. It’s so hard to fill him up.
